For those who are seeking a more natural approach to anti-ageing procedures, PRP therapy is the ultimate biological skin rejuvenation treatment.
The Alocuro PRO PRP technology provides a unique system for superior platelet extraction efficiency so that maximum growth factors can be introduced in the exact location where you want your skin to repair and rejuvenate itself.
What is PRP?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is an extract of your own blood that contains a high concentration of platelets, growth factors, and bio active proteins essential for tissue regeneration and healing. It uses the patient’s own cells to refresh the complexion and provide overall rejuvenation by repairing the elasticity, colour and quality of the skin which minimises wrinkles, scarring, and crepey skin; as well as a leading treatment in hair restoration.
What does Aesthetic PRP procedure treat?
Skin Rejuvenation: In dermatology and cosmetic medicine, PRP has been used to treat overall health, tone and elasticity of the skin; reducing fine facial wrinkles / lines; minimising the appearance of scars / acne scarring; reducing under eye dark circles / hollows; decreasing the visible signs of aged and sun damaged skin; promoting even skin tone and texture; addressing mild collagen and volume loss. In addition to facial rejuvenation, PRP is a popular treatment to treat the neck, décolletage, back of hands, forearms, elbows, knees as well as stretch marks, abdomen, breasts, thighs and buttocks.
Hair Restoration: When PRP is injected into the scalp the application of PRP causes miniaturised hair follicles to become healthier and larger, producing more robust hair growth. PRP activates follicular progenitor cells (adult stem cells) and promotes angiogenesis and localised cell growth. PRP is an effective treatment for both male and female pattern hair loss and some autoimmune hair loss disorders.
Science of PRP
PRP works by recreating and stimulating the body's natural healing process. When tissue is injured, the body responds by sending specific ‘super healer’ cell types to the site of injury to start the repairing process and regeneration of new tissue. These ‘super healer cells are platelets. Platelets perform many functions in our bodies, including formation of a blood clot and release of growth factors (GF) into injured tissue or a wound to start the healing process. Ageing skin requires a helping hand to initiate the healing and repair process, and this is where PRP therapy excels. PRP provides all of the essential Growth Factors (GFs) that stimulate healing and improves the body’s own ability to heal in a safe, effective way.
How does PRP work for Skin Rejuvenation?
When PRP is injected back into the skin, it initiates a local stem cell response. In the weeks and months following treatment these stem cells help to form new collagen structure and blood vessels, repair and regenerate damaged skin, and help slow and reverse the signs of aging, creating healthy skin that looks refreshed and rejuvenated
Is there evidence that PRP Works?
Worldwide research has proven that PRP is effective for regeneration of tissues. Published clinical research studies have demonstrated that PRP is beneficial for rejuvenation of facial ageing, including wrinkling in persons with modest grades of photo or chronological aging. There are over 10,000 published scientific research papers on the use of PRP to improve healing across all treatmen t areas, eg: surgery, sports medicine, orthopaedics , dental and aesthetic.
When to expect to see results?
Immediately after the procedure, the injected skin may feel tighter than usual, with lines / wrinkles appearing minimised. This initial fullness from the plasma and subtle swelling in response to the platelet initiated regeneration process will subside and skin will return to normal appearance within 4 days. However the platelet released growth factors will continue to work within the skin to produce new skin cells and blood supply over the next 6 weeks. Typically 3 weeks after treatment an overall improvement in skin hydration, texture and tone can be seen. Between 3 and 6 weeks, the new skin cells produce new collagen and elastin making the overall structure of the skin healthier and stronger which improves the overall skin appearance. Reduction of fine lines and improvements to skin elasticity will continue for several months. Clinical research has demonstrated that the beneficial effects of cosmetic PRP can last 12 months to 2 years.
How often should PRP be performed ?
Individual protocols vary dependent upon each patient’s baseline condition. Published research and our results have shown that the best results are ac hieved when a series of 3 treatments are performed 4 weeks apart. Patients will return for a single ‘top up’ treatment when they start to notice their skin health declining

PDO COG Thread lift procedure is a non-surgical face- and neck-lifting technique that uses PDO (polydioxanone) threads to lift and tighten sagging or loose facial and neck skin in a minimally invasive way.
The procedure involves the insertion of the PDO threads into the skin, which will stimulate the body's natural collagen production process, causing the skin to become firmer, more elastic, and lifted.
COG stands for cogs or barbs located along the PDO threads, which make them particularly effective at holding tissues into a lifted position.
PDO COG Thread lifts are effective and provide longer-lasting results, with minimal downtime and without the risks associated with surgical procedures. The procedure is also safe for patients since PDO threads dissolve naturally over time.
